Welcome to Williamsburg Local Schools

Free Breakfast and Lunch for ALL students through the end of 2020!

We are happy to announce that the Ohio Department of Education, under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food, and Nutrition Services, has notified our district that 100 percent of students attending Williamsburg Schools (both In-Person and Online) are eligible for free breakfast and lunch effective September 1 through December 31, 2020. Any meal charges from September 1
st, before we were notified, will be credited back to the student’s account. Due to the large number of students, it may take a while for this to happen.

What this means is that all Williamsburg students in grades Preschool through 12 will not be charged for meals they purchase at school. Students learning remotely who receive to-go meals will not be charged either. If you have pre-paid for your child's meals, that balance will remain in your account until your child begins to purchase meals again in January 2021.

However, in order to possibly extend this benefit past December 31, 2020, we ask parents who think they may qualify for free and reduced meals to please fill out the Free and Deduced Price Meal Application (found on the Williamsburg website under Departments and Food Services).

If families were approved last year they need to apply again this year. This benefits the District and plays a part in qualifying Williamsburg Schools for future extensions of free meals district-wide. If you received a Direct Certification letter in the mail from Milford Nutrition Services, you do not need to apply. You will need to contact the Nutrition office if you have any children who were not listed on the letter.  (513-576-2290).

Students learning remotely need to first register to receive meals by calling (513) 576-2290 or (513) 576-4160. Packages of frozen meals for seven days will be available for pickup at Williamsburg Middle/High on School on Thursdays between 8:15- 8:45 a.m.

Respect. Responsibility. Resiliency.
That’s the Wildcat Way!

July 29, 2020

Hello Wildcat Families,

Today we are releasing the second installment of our reopening plans.  This installment includes more specific plans and information related to the many aspects of safely reopening our schools.  From installment one to this installment, the most notable modification is the required use of face coverings during certain times while in the school buildings and that is specified in several areas of this installment.  We continue to work in conjunction with the Clermont County Health Department on this plan and will continue to do so, and please know the safety and security of everyone is paramount to our decisions.  I am very aware that there is no right answer or easily agreeable plan, but I believe returning to school is important on several levels.  Be aware that these plans continue to be fluid and parts of the plans could, and probably will, change at some point between now and the start of school for students on August 24th.

For families that do not feel comfortable returning to school, a virtual option is available on a quarterly basis and will be monitored by a staff member.  More information about this option is in this installment.  If you wish to use this option, you must notify the office of your child’s building by August 7th. (change from previous letter-August 1st)

We understand there are, and will be, many questions about next school year.  With each installment, it will be our goal to attempt to answer them as we gather more information.  It is our wish that you have a safe and healthy final few weeks of summer break and continue to enjoy your time with family and friends.

Sincerely,
Matthew D. Earley
